Sensation prevails at Hatimuria, under Moirabari Police station, Morigaon on Monday when Bandhan Bank Moirabari branch staff Kuldeep Borah was allegedly shot at and looted by 3 motorcycle-borne unidentified miscreants in daylight at Hatimuria Village. The miscreants fled with his bag containing bank's cash worth Rs. 1 lakh. According to police, the incident took place around 12:45 in the noon when Borah was on his way to Moirabari branch after collecting 1 lakh from Hatimuria Bandhan group. Suddenly, 3 armed miscreants, riding a motorcycle stopped him forcibly near Hatimuria Balika muktab school with pointed gun at him. One of them shot around 10-12 round bullets at Kuldeep who fell on the ground. In the mean time they snatched his bag containing bank's cash and fled.
Injured Kuldeep was admitted immediately in Moirabari hospital by the locals and later he was sent to Nagaon BP Civil Hospital for better treatment. Borah is in critical condition.
Moirabari Police is investigating the incident.
