5th death anniversary of Dr Bhupen Hazarika observed

Along with the rest of the state the fifth death  anniversary of the Bard of Brahmaputra, Dr Bhupen Hazarika was observed at Tangla and Kalaigaon on Saturday.
At Tangla HS field candles were lighted by educationist Binoy Kr. Medhi which was followed by floral tributes by public .
An art competition and Bhupendra Sangeet competition was also held among childrens.  All faiths community prayer and Naam-Kirtan, Lok-Sangeets were also performed.
A cultural evening was also held  which was inaugurated by Pranjal Borah SDPO Bhergaon.
At Kalaigaon Revenue Circle office premise a life size statue of Bhupen Hazarika was also unveiled by Kamal Kataki eminent artist.
