Woman dies post operation

A 51-year-old woman was died post gall- blooder operation at RNB civil hospital today in Kokrajhar due to wrong treatment. On the other hand, attending doctor said that operation was successfully completed today afternoon, but later expired.

Expired woman was identified as Kalyani Chakraborty, resident of Thanapara, wife of Sambhu Chakraborty, had a gall blooder operation by Dr Anmol Kumar Shah, RNB civil hospital, Kokrajhar by afternoon, but later expired due to negligence of doctor's duty discharge.

Family members of Kalyani alleged that doctor and nurses are not dedicating their services to the patients, they only want money and payment in the name of services. Today our patient died due to wrong treatment and negligence of doctors in the hospital.

Dr Shah said that he had performed successful operation treatment in the hospital. There was no any wrong treatment in his duty, Shah said.

Five arrested for carrying cattles illegally

Five persons were arrested by te police for illegally carrying cattles in five trucks on Thursday morning at Karigaon national highways in Kokrajhar district. Police intercepted the trucks carrying 80 cattles, including 14 buffaloes during the petrolling in the 31C National Highways. Arms recovered

KOKRAJHAR: Security forces have recovered large number cache of arms, ammunitions and explosives inside Manas National Park (MNP) under Gavarukundha range near Panbari under Bijni police station in Chirang district on Tuesday morning. A joint operation was launched on Tuesday evening by Chirang Police in the general area of Gavarukunda inside deep jungles of MNP near Panbari and recovered huge amounts of arms, ammunitions and explosives on a buried condition. Sundaram to investigate SP EAC scuffle

Lower Assam Commissioner SS Meenakshi Sundaram has started investigation into the alleged scuffle between Kokrajhar SP Rajen Singh And EAC Sailen Das recently at Gaurang Valley Hotel Kokrajhar. Chief minister Sarbananda Sonowal ordered an enquiry into incident after CCTV footage of the incident went viral on social media. New political party forms in BTAD

KOKRAJHAR: A new political outfit was floated in Bodoland Territorial Areas District (BTAD) at a convention held at Pathshala in Baksa district on Sunday. The newly floated political party has been named as Gana Suraksha Party (GSP) headed by Kokrajhar Lok Sabha MP Naba Kumar Sarania. The party has appointed ten executive members. In the meeting, BTAD army was also formed to work to the extensive services amongst all sections of the society. Sarania said that the newly floated political party will work for all round development of the region. He said that the party is planning to put candidature in all 35 seats in the upcoming BTC elections next year.

Daoharu Mungkhlong trophy begins

Kokrajhar: The 22nd edition of the Daoharu Mungkhlong Football Trophy 2019 began here at Dotma HS School playground in Kokrajhar district on Sunday. 10 teams from the state and West Bengal are participating in the competition. Teams includ Sunrise FC, Guwahati, Bhopal FC, Madhya Pradesh, Bilwgw Club, West Bengal, Nazira RH FC, Sibsagar, Barhoongkha AC, Kokrajhar, Global Football Academy, Gossaigaon, Eleven Star Bongaigaon, Dhupdhara FC, Goalpara, Reserve Bank of India, Guwahati and DASA XI,Dotma. UPPL ready for election

KOKRAJHAR,SEP 21: "United People's Party Liberal (UPPL) is fully prepared to contest the upcoming BTC general council election to be held next year. There is no word of unification with ruling BPF", said UPPL president Urkhao Gwra Brahma. Physical assault on magistrate in Kokrajhar

KOKRAJHAR: In a heart touching incident, Kokrajhar SP Rajen Singh physical assaulted  EAC Sailen Das at a gettogeter inside a hotel in Kokrajhar as video of CCTV footages state. The incident has come into light after a video became viral on social media on Friday. According to sources, there was a get together organised by district administration at Hotel Gaurang Valley on September 9 where the incident took place.  Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal ordered an official inquiry into the incident. ABSU expelled Rinjoy Boro

KOKRAJHAR: The All Bodo Students Union (ABSU) expelled of Rinjoy Boro from central committee for his anti organizational activities. In a press statement, assistant general secretary of the students union, Khwrwmdao Wary said the student's union after the cabinet meeting held on Friday has decided to take disciplinary action against Rinjoy Boro, who was one of the central committee ABSU, Secretary. Rinjoy Boro hails from Harisinga of Udalguri district.
