Bandh supportrs burns tyres

AAMSU activists burnt motor tyres at Makrapara along JD Road in Kokrajhar during 10-hours Assam bandh called AAMSU in protest against killed two persons and injured several during eviction drive at Kaziranga yesterday.On the other hand, Kokrajhar saw a partial bandh response as bazaar,school,colleges and most of the public and private vehicles run as usual since morning on the day.

AAMSU called 10-hours Assam bandh in protest against Kaziranga eviction which had claimed two lives and some others received injuries in the eviction drive carried out yesterday along the Bandordubi area.

The bandh was started from 6 am and conclude by 4 pm in the evening.

Bandh supporters burnt motor tyres at Makrapara along JD Road in protest against eviction and shouted slogans against state government, demanded early stop of eviction and stop atrocities on innocent Muslim peoples in the name of eviction.

Kokrajhar saw a partial response during bandh hours,bazaar,market,school,colleges,most of the government office and public-private vehicles run as usual on the day. It is to be noted that public and citizens come out to the bazaar and market for marketing.

‘Provide sufficient compensation and ex-gratia to the affected victims families’,AAMSU demanded.
