An anti-drug rally was organized to create awareness among student and common masses in Kokrajhar on Saturday. The rally was organized by Kokrajhar district unit of BPF Women’s Wing, was started from Govt HS & MP school traversed JD Road, DC office Road, Shanti Nagar Vivekananda path and concluded at the same point.
Jayanta Kumar Roy, principal of Govt Hs & MP school,Kokrajhar flagged off the rally.
Hundreds of students from different school, colleges participated the rally with banner, placards and demanded early stop of any kinds of drug used among society.
Bringing of drug free society and build a healthy integration in the region, participants expressed their hopes. Supriya Rani Brahma, president of the BPF women’s’ wing told that the rally has been aimed to bring awareness against drug use which has been creating causes of human lives among society.
BTC executive member Doneswar Goyary, former BTC executive member Derhasat Basumatary, Dr Kaushik Das, RNB civil hospital, Prof Premjit Basumatary, Kokrajhar Govt College, Mithinga Basumatary, advisrer ABWWF were prominent attendees on the rally.
“We organized rally to bring awareness against drug use, especially young generations should be come forward to stop drug uses”,said Brahma.
