Sanitary napkin destroyer machine

For the benefit of lady member-scribes of Guwahati Press Club (GPC), a sanitary napkin destroyer machine was launched on Friday (9 September 2016) in the club premises.

Sponsored by Junior Chamber International Guwahati, the automatic machine was officially handed over to press club authority by JFP Sweta Somani, JFP Mitu Agarwal in presence of JC Sajal Beria, JC Rojni Jain, GPC secretary Nava Thakuria.

“The machine will be useful for destroying the used sanitary napkins and it will address the periodical problems of the concerned ladies,” said Ms Somani.

She also added that the JCI had taken up the target to install over 1000 such machines across India within this year. Inspired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s hygiene & cleanliness drive, the JCI had already installed 25 machines in the city.

Ayush healthcare system to train rural youths

The Ministry of Ayush and the Ministry of Rural Development have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to develop skilled manpower for the Ayush healthcare system. The agreement aims to enable rural youth to become a skilled workforce in the sector.
