Villagers of bordering areas of Dadgiri along Indo-Bhutan border in Chirang district, hit by the heaviest flood during the month of June -July last, is still finding difficult to get back into normalcy in their day to day life. Besides various aid programmes, like relief material distribution received from district administration & SSB, local villagers along with BOPs of 16th battalion(Bn) SSB jointly putting efforts to repair all the damaged temporary assets like bamboo bridges which were drowned due to heavy flood and hampered the connectivity's among the villagers along border areas.
Once again 16th Bn SSB Ranighuli step forward to assist the villagers, a bamboo bridge has been constructed at Aie-polly village by joint efforts of personnel of BOP Aie- polly under company headquarter(Coy HQR), Dadgiri of 16battalion of SSB with the assistance of villagers of Aie- polly village .
The bridge plays vital role for connectivity among nearby villages of Dadgiri & same was damaged due to heaviest flood occurred during the month of June-July. BOP also contributed some money and spent over construction of bamboo binding wire and providing refreshment to the villagers during the constructions.
