ULFA-I has come down heavily on Dr Dhrubajyoti Bora alleging that the Asom Sahitya Sabha president has downplayed Assam and its people when he addressed a recent meeting in Nagaon.
In a statement, the outfit’s central publicity secretary Aronodoi Dohotia said that his comment from the chair of the state’s top largest literary organization has undermined the Assamese.
ULFA-I questioned Dr Bora’s intention to assimilate the Indian culture with the age old and unique Assamese culture.
Further, the proscribed outfit has brought a bribery allegation of Rs 25 lakh against Dr Bora to ensure his son’s admission at a premier medical college in West Bengal after he was not qualified in Assam medical entrance examination.
