The All Assam Students Union is holding a brainstorming meeting in the city on Wednesday to cle4ar a set of strategies for launching a statewide intensified strike against the Bangladeshi infiltration.
According to information, the meeting will discuss in detail the course of action to be taken to ensure an intensified action to detect and deport the illegal Bangladeshi migrants who have infiltrated from across the border to disturb the state’s demography.
Talking to Assam Times on Wednesday morning, AASU leaders said they are taking serious note of the recent High Court ruling asking the government to detect and deport the Bangladeshi migrants. They have alleged that political parties like Congress, BJP, AGP, CPI, CPM and AUDF have been remaining silent fearing a dent in the traditional vote bank. AASU have organized several public rally against infiltration in Sivasagar and Tinsukia and it will be followed by a statewide intensified strike.
