Bodoland Students Union burnt effigy of Kokrajhar Lok Sabha MP Naba Kumar Sarania for his alleged communal statement at Parliament regarding Balajan Tinali bazar terror attack on August 5 last in Kokrajhar district.

Swgwmshar Basumatary, president of the students union condemned Saranias' remarks on firing in Kokrajhar.He has alleged that Sarania have no any input about incident which caused innocent people in the area.Sarania being people's representative in the Parliament does not have proper documentation, Basumatary said.

Road mishap killed two persons and another received serious injury at Dhaligaon National Highway early this morning in Chirang district. At least 24 persons including 9 children were taken ill after taking medicines from the mobile medical unit of the NRHM at Dotma Titeliguri in Kokrajhar district. The victims complain of vomiting, headache, stomach pain after taking the medicines taken from the mobile medical unit on Friday.
