Jayabati Roy's husband arrested, interrogation on

Family members of Jayabati Roy lodged an FIR with police citating that she was pre-planned murdered by her husband Prafullo Roy on Saturday in the name of cylinder blast at Balagaon village in Kokrajhar. Police arrested Prafullo Roy late Saturday night and interrogation is on.

Jayabati Roy, mother of a 5-years-old daughter was died yesterday under conspiracy cylinder blast at her own home at Balagaon village around 3 pm,which was penetrated by her husband Prafullo Roy, which left sensation along the village.

Kalyan Chandra Roy,elder brother of Jayabati lodged an FIR with Kokrajhar PS, Registered No.347/16, Under Section(U/S)120(B)/302/201 IPC which stated that Jayabati was murdered pre-planned by her husband. Her body and face was saw severe injury marks. He demanded stern punishment should be implemented for culprits,who murdered his wife. He charged that Profullo killed his wife brutally with sharp weapon.

‘It was an act of murdered by Prafullo Roy. Profullo killed his wife pretending cylinder blast,but cylinder was not exploded at the home’, Kalyan said.

Police arrested Profullo Roy and continued interrogation since late last night.Police said that even though there was said of cylinder blast, but was opposite situation inside incident as body saw severe injury marks besides little burn marks.

‘Investigation is continued and details would be come out after completion of investigation’, said a senior police officer in Kokrajhar.
