A seminar on the topic of 'Oral poetry, Performance and Aesthetic' was held on Saturday at UN Academy with a day long programme in Kokrajhar district.
Altogether 12 resource persons from different field participated and presented research papers on the subject,was organised by Sahitya Akademi in assocaition with UN Academy. Renown Bodo writer and Sahitya Akademi awardee Brajendra Kumar Brahma inaugurated the seminar which was chaired by Janil Kumar Brahma,Sahitya Akademi awarded.
Gopal Chandra Barman,Secretary,Kolkata Regional Sahitya Akademi said that it was a programme scheduled to organise the seminar to bring literary development spirit and activities with Bodo language in the region.The Akademi was trying to create healthy Bodo literary works through host of seminar and workshops which was part of the scheduled programme of the Akademi.
“The Sahitya Akademi has organised the seminar to find out close status of oral poetry and its aesthetic relation in its status.I do hope,the Bodo language would be benefitted in bringing awareness while creating literary activities through this seminar in the region”. Dr Anil Boro,organiser and Research Scholar,Guwahati University said that this seminar will extend help to create more literary creation among Bodo writers.
“We are organising the seminar to bring liteary developmental spirit among Bodo writers. The seminar will on oral poetry will create more creation among writers because the oral poetry have an sweet aesthetic on its meaning”.
