Jagadish Sarkar,EM,BTC and Maheswar Boro,newly elected BPF MLA of Kalaigaon assembly constituency had an interactive session with 32 numbers of government gaonburas working under Kalaigaon Revenue Circle at Kalaigaon on June 9 at 11 am.The programme was organized by Kalaigaon branch of Assam Gaonburas Association.The programme was presided over by senior Gaonbura Karun Chandra Deka.Basundhar Rabha,secretary,Kalaigaon Gaonbura Association welcomed all the distinguished guests who had attended the ceremony to share views with them.On the occasion the Gaonbura Association felicitated Maheswar Boro,newly elected MLA of Kalaigaon;Jagadish Sarkar,EM,BTC with gamosa,xorai and citation letters. Talking to all gaonburas and other sections of people present,Jagadish Sarkar,EM,BTC said that he would jointly work with MLA Maheswar Boro for the welfare of the people of Kalaigaon and all the government Gaonburas must play crucial role in implementing government schemes.He further said that they would never consider who had voted for whom.MLA Maheswar Boro, while assuring all including the government gaonburas said that he would like to work rather than giving promises.DN Hazarika,SDO(Sadar),Udalguri in his speech said that Gaonburas could change the society.Only they could do much for removing blind belief, superstition from the society.Police Inspector Dimbeswar Das,Officer-in-Charge of Kalaigaon Police Station;Bhupen Borah,Secretary,All Assam Gaonbura Association;social worker Kami Ram Saharia,senior journalist Jayanta Das,Mouzadar Kamal Prasad Sarma,Asstt.Executive Engineer,PHE,Kalaigaon P Goswami also spoke a few words on the occasion while talking to gaonburas.
