Four spotted top 20 and AHM in BTAD

Private managed schools saw better results than government schools in BTAD region with three students spotted in top 20 positions in HSLC examination and a student spotted 3rd in Assam High Madrasa, besides Chirang and Kokrajhar district saw first and third position respectively from bottom-line amongst the state in the result performance.

Two students from St. Antony’s English Medium School, Gossaigaon in Kokrajhar district-Sakhil Mahmud got 16th and Saurab Kumar Sarkar got 20th position while Mahan Pradhan of Diamond English School, Harisinga from Udalguri district got 20th position in the HSLC declared results. Rezzaque Ali Sheik of Nabajyoti High Madrasa,Howriapet, Sapkata of Kokrajhar district spotted third position in the declared Assam High Madrasa examination on Tuesday, who were brought glorious moment among citizens in the BTAD region.

The UN Academy, a private managed Bodo medium school in Kokrajhar scripted 99.23 % pass percentage, BPCM Babyland English Medium School done 91% pass percentage while Government HS & MP School, Kokrajhar scored only 41% pass percentage in results.

Altogether 130 out of 131 appeared students from UN Academy, passed with 96 in first and 34 in second division, besides a student scored distinction and 13 star marks in the HSLC examination which recorded 99.23% pass percentage. A total of 81 out of 89 appeared students from BPCM Babyland English Medium School passed with 64 in first and 17 in second division getting 12 distinction and 14 star marks which recorded 91% pass percentage. Government HS & MP School, Kokrajhar has made only 41% pass percentage with 8 in first, 34 in second and 89 in third division, which has saw low pass percentage in a government schools in the region. A total of 131 passed out of 319 appeared students from the school.

With today’s result declaration, Chirang recorded 42.11 % pass percentage which spotted first position from bottom-line, Kokrajhar got 50.20 % and spotted third from bottom-line, Baksa 57.06% and Udalguri 53.44 % pass percentage in the entire region.

The private managed school teachers expressed their partial satisfied with the results declaration because they wanted more good results, but could not brought cent percent results. Krishna Gopal Basumatary, Director, UN Academy said, ‘We had hope of getting more results, but today we are getting only 99 pass percentage in the result which is not satisfied for us’, he said adding that the students will bring more gaining results next year through dedication their studies.

Jayanta Kumar Roy, principal of Govt HS & MP School reacting to the result declaration said that the school could not show good results for the lackadaisical attitudes from government towards solutions of the school facing issue and problems. Therefore, government school is performing low percentage results. ‘Our school recorded only 41 % pass percentage due to facing several crisis and problems in the school because 28 numbers of teachers’ posts lying vacant. Most of the teachers, who are in the school, were engaged in NRC, election duties, which is the main cause of getting low percentage in the result. The school authority had urged the state government to fulfill vacancy, but government declined to the issues’, Roy said.

Jagadish Prasad Brahma, IS Kokrajhar said that over all Kokrajhar district was recorded 50.20% pass percentage this years’ HSLC result with two students spotted in top 20 and a student scripted third spot in High Madrasa in the district. He has congratulated all passing students and wished successful career in their life.

On the question of private schools’ performing better results than government schools, Brahma said that the private schools sustain to gain better results than government schools only due to best dedication and guardians also consciousness to the education. Those students who are taking education in government schools are coming from poor family and economically backward, which is one of the main reasons of the poor result show in government schools, he added.
