Japanese Government Scholarship 2017

Undergraduate program is a 5 year program for those who wish to study in a Japanese University at undergraduate level comprising of 1 year of Japanese language training and 4 years of Bachelor degree course.

College of Technology is a 4 year program comprising of 1 year Japanese language training and 3 years of associated degree course. Colleges of Technology conduct practical and professional engineering education based on an integrated system with general learning and specialized learning organized systematically.

Specialized Training College is a 3 year program comprising of 1 year of Japanese language training and 2 years of associated certificate course. Specialized Training Colleges are vocational schools that run courses in specialized subjects at the higher education level.

The scholarship benefits are: free tuition fees, monthly stipend and one return air ticket. The deadline for submitting the application is 17 June 2016. The application can be accepted at the Embassy of Japan in New Delhi and Consulates General of Japan in Kolkata, Chennai, Mumbai, and Consulate of Japan in Bangalore. The selected candidates for the above scholarships will go to Japan in April 2017. For more details aspirants may contact at http://www.in.emb-japan.go.jp/. This has been stated in a press release.

Blood Donation camp at Dr B Borooah Cancer Institute on Aug 15

Old Boys Association of Sainik School Goalpara (OBA SSG) is organising a blood donation camp on the occasion of Independence Day on 15th August. The blood donation camp is organised in association with Dr B Borooah Cancer institute at its campus in Guwahati from 8:30 am. OBA SSG has been organising blood donation camp on Independence Day for more than a decade now. OBA SSG has appealed its members and interested individuals to donate blood for welfare of the cancer patient.

Athletics meet concludes at SSG

The Closing Ceremony of the Annual Athletics Meet of Sainik School Goalpara ( SSG)  for the session 2016-17 was held on 23 Dec 16 at the school athletics ground. The event commenced with the finals of 800m, 100m, 400m, 4x100m relay and 4x 400 m relay. In addition to the delighted cadets who were fighting for their House positions, a large number of parents cheered the athletes and their children who were striving for medals.
