HIV+ cases in Golaghat

Increasing rate of HIV infected persons in Golaghat shocked the people while Golaghat Kushal Konwar Civil Hospital’s ICTC counselor revealed the information of increasing HIV infected persons on Thursday. Golaghat Kushal Konwar Civil Hospital’s ICTC counselor Dibyajyoti Das said that ICTC collected blood sample from 25375 persons in where above 400 persons are infected from HIV disease. 85 persons are suffering from AIDS and among them 30 persons are already died. Besides 20 babies also infected from HIV and 6 babies were died suffering from HIV disease.

Further ICTC counselor said that HIV infected persons are to be found in every village of Golaghat district. From general persons to college students are infected from the diseases. The main cause of increase the disease are suspecting that truck-tanker drivers and other business purpose persons goes to Dimapur, Nagaland and out state of Assam, where they have got sexual relationship without protection.
