Assam tea tribe student association (ATTSA), Golaghat unit staged a dharna near DC office, demanding granting for shedule tribe status and resolution of various problems of the community here on friday.
In a press release president Jagdish Baraik and asst. Secretary Jayanta kurmi said, Narendra Modi lead NDA Government and State Congress Government deprive tea garden labours from long time .The activist of ATTSA shout and slogans against central Govt & state Govt .They have also demanded to provide Immediate amendment of plantation labour act 1951,
Sufficient teachers in the school of tea garden and tea tribe dominated areas,
Appointment of tea tribe linguistic teacher in every primary school of tea gardens and immediate solutions of Assam-Nagaland border dispute,
A memorandum have been sent to chief minister of assam through deputy commisioner of Golaghat.
