Bodo sabha demands stern action against Muslim fundamentalists

The Bodo Sahitya Sabha(BSS),a apex literary body of Bodo community demanded stern action against the Muslim fundamentalist organizations like Al-Qaeda, JMB etc. which have been strengthening their active module like terrorist in Assam, particularly in BTAD region.

Speaking the reporters at RN Bhawan on Monday in Kokrajhar, Dr Kameswar Brahma,president said a memorandum was submitted to Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh today demanding stern action against the Al- Qaeda and JMB etc. in Assam. He said that the Muslim fundamentalist organizations like Al- Qaeda, JMB etc. activity operating in the state, particularly in BTAD region since some years back, but no proper action has been taken up in this regard so far.

Brahma,mentioned that these organizations have been trying to destabilize the social fabric by creating communal violence among different communities and religious groups. He demanded to clear fully verify the Madrasa Schools and Masjid also by the security personal, where from that madrasa the extremist fundamentalist run.

As many as 11 Jehadis belonging to the JMB,including an Imam of Rajapara Jamme Masjid Joynal Abedin were arrested in the Amguri area Chirang district under BTAD by the security personnel while taking shelter in the Masjid and other were arrested from different places in the region.

Brahma also criticized the centre for taking poor activities in the NRC update work, where the government has not finished the process in as time bound. He alleged that some immigrants issuing fake documents they have been taking scope. So the government might verify clearly where it should be clear and solid.
