Young Artist Bikram conferred “North -East Harmony” award

A Young Artist of Kokrajhar Bikram Narzary was conferred “North -East Harmony award of 9th North- East state Exhibition of Art (NESEA) 2016.

In a function held at Srimanta Santaradeva Kalakshetra in Guwahati on Saturday the award was given by Additional Chief Secretary of Assam MGVK Bhanu Bikram’s art titled Andi Amphwo was displayed in the 9th North-East States Exhibition of Art (NESEA) 2016 which was organized by Srimanta Santaradeva Kalakshetra Society in collaboration with lalit kala akademi, New Delhi at AC Art Gallery at Lalit Kala Bhawan, Guwahati and selected for the award.

The Young Artist Bikram Narzary was completed his Master of Fine Arts in Print Making from Indra Kala Sangeet Bishwa Vidyalaya, Khairagarh Cattish Garh in 2016 recently. He was recipient of All India Lokmaniya Tilak and Late Barrister V.V. Oak Art Exhibition 2014 in Pune, 29th Lokmaniya Tilak All India Art Exhibition 2016 Pune, New Delhi Municipal Council All India Art Exhibition in 2014 and 87th Annual All India Art Exhibition 2014.

Narzary is the son of Nijay Kumar Nazary and Sumitra Narzary of Kokrajhar word no10,

A certificate with cash and memento was presented in the award.   

Among others Surjya Hazarika, Vice Chairman Narayan Konwar Secretary of the Srimanta Santaradeva Kalakshetra, Maneswar Brahma was attended in the awardees function.

The public of the BTC welcomed on his unbridled success in this talented art.

The National Investigation Agency (NIA), who has been investigating into massacre of Adivasi peoples at Santipur-Saralpara along Indo-Bhutan border, arrested three hard core cadres of the NDFB-S on Thursday from Saralpara are in Kokrajhar district.  They were identified as Armish Basumatary of East Jordanpur, Lothen Basumatary of Giribil village of Kokrajhar district and Gangaraj Basumatary of Birhangaon of Chirang district.  With these arrests of three cadres, the arrests stands at 61 and 45 of them have been charged sheeted till date . The arrested cadres have been sent for police custody for three days for investigation, said a senior official.  
One NDFB-Songbijit cadre was arrested at a joint operation launched by army and police at Takampur area under Kachugaon PS on Thursday in Kokrajhar district. The rebel was identified as Raju Mushahary alias Rajesh Mushahary, 20, of Takampur village of Gossage on subdivision. He was involved with extortion, kidnapping, recruiting of new cadres and supporting logistic to the militants outfit organization. Two persons were killed and a eight-year-old boy received serious injured following thunderbolt hit early this morning in Kokrajhar district. According to a villager, the strong thunderstorms hit the men early this morning around 6.30am at Bishmuri area of Kokrajhar district leaving two persons died and a boy received serious injured. They were identified as Kontha Basumatary, 55, of Garlabari Bishmuri and Ashar Soren, 40, of Joypur.
