Election campaigns gained momentum

With just few days left to the scheduled assembly election, candidates from different political parties and independent candidates are busy with their campaigning at their respective constituencies in the state

Sitting MLA and BPF candidate for Kokrajhar east LAC Pramila Rani Brahma hold her election campaign at Bhumki village on Sunday. She said that she has contesting the election to gain more development and integration. She said that her BPF party was working for the all round development for the common masses . She has promised to work more integration if she elected for another term, besides urging to vote for the party. 

UPP candidate for Kokrajhar east LAC and social activist Pratibha Brahma also hold campaigning at various places on Sunday in support of her candidature. The UPP has held election campaign at Brahmapur, Jordanpur, Sonapur where huge party supporter as well common publics thronged. 

Brahma said that the common voters in the constituency wanting social uplift and integration, of which why she has been contesting the seat. She has claimed that her winning is sure in the election as irrespective of organization and communities are supporting the UPP party.

BPF president Hagrama Mohilary announced two more candidates to contest ensuing election at a party meeting at Dotma in Kokrajhar on Sunday.  Rabiram Narzary, newly unified with BPF from BPPF has need nominated for Kokrajhar West and Milan Boro, Bawanipur constituencies.  With today's announcement BPF's candidate toll goes 16 seats. A forest official was seriously injured when he was attacked by wild bear at Alu farm in Halugaon area of Kokrajhar district. According to forest official, Nilmoni Brahma, a staff of Amguri forest beat office under Gaurang Forest Range  was attacked by the bear this morning around 10 am. A minor girl was rescued from the North East express train at Kokrajhar railway station here today. Getting information, members of Kokrajhar based NGO Nedan foundation and security forces belonging to Kokrajhar police and CRPF carried out a rescue operation and rescued the girl.
