RMC on crack over party supports

Cracks appeared in the Religious Minority Council(RMC),BTC region over the issue of supporting to the Bodoland Peoples Front(BPF) party in the ensuing Assam assembly election.The rift appeared in the council after president Sohrab Khan announced openly that RMC leaves to support the BPF party in the election.

Speaking the reporters on Friday at Kokrajhar Press Club,Rijaul Haque Sarkar,general secretary of the RMC told that the council has not been left the BPF party.We are still with BPF party,who was working all round development and welfare of the region.The reaction come after the Khan addressed the reporters at Kajalgaon in Chirang district on Thursday that RMC announced to leave the ruling party ahead assembly election. Sarkar has denied the statement of Sohrab said that it was his personal view, not of council decision to leave the ruling party in the region.

‘We have no any decision to leave the ruling BPF party at this juncture’,Sarkar adding said that the council still good term with the party and no any decision to step against ruling party. He has accused of that Khan has been maintaining link with Congress to gain his personal benefit that is why he is stating baseless remarks over the RMC in the region.

He has claimed that the RMC has not cracked within organisation,but Khan he hilself making baseless statement to show his personal interest. He also told that the RMC has been scheduled to hold central executive meeting on March 13 at Magurmari in Kokrajhar district and committee would discuss thoroughly over the present situation within organisation. Delegates from ten district committees are participating in the meeting and would discuss on the arisen situation within organisation.The council is likely replace president Khan for his unwanted remarks over supporting political party in the upcoming election.

Security forces have claimed that three hardcore cadres of NDFB-S along three linkmen were arrested and huge cache of arms were also recovered from Salbari area of Baksa district today. Security forces belonging to Assam Police and Army carried out a search operation at Salbari area this morning and manage to recovered huge arms of the NDFB-S members which are kept inside a room of Baksa district, said a senior police officer.

 Police arrested two NDFB-S linkmen from Jordanpur under Serfanguri Police of Kokrajhar district late last evening. Police said that duo were involved extortion since long days and were arrested by police. The arrested were identified as June Basumatary and Mausrang Basumatary of Jordanpur village. A pistol, one magazine, six round bullets, two hand grenades recovered from their possession.

Barhoongka AC Kokrajhar defeated Guwahati FC in the Assam State Premier League being played on Saturday at KDSA ground in Kokrajhar. Newsonkom of Guwahati FC netted first goal against Barhoongka in 31 minutes and led the match 1-0 goal in first half. In the second half, Barhoongka boys Pabitra Narzary and Lamington Toutang  scored one each goal against Guwahati in 62 and 82 minutes respectively and won the match.
The entrance gate of an ancient temple was lost partially damaged when a moderate earthquke jolted Basugaon along with other parts of lower Assam.One of the stone made lions installed at the entrance gate of the Gauri temple collpased under the impact of the moderate earthquake on Sunday.Local residents came out in large numbers to escape the death when the building were shaking. Thousands of local people went to the temple premises to see the damaged walls.
