RMC on crack over party supports

Cracks appeared in the Religious Minority Council(RMC),BTC region over the issue of supporting to the Bodoland Peoples Front(BPF) party in the ensuing Assam assembly election.The rift appeared in the council after president Sohrab Khan announced openly that RMC leaves to support the BPF party in the election.

Speaking the reporters on Friday at Kokrajhar Press Club,Rijaul Haque Sarkar,general secretary of the RMC told that the council has not been left the BPF party.We are still with BPF party,who was working all round development and welfare of the region.The reaction come after the Khan addressed the reporters at Kajalgaon in Chirang district on Thursday that RMC announced to leave the ruling party ahead assembly election. Sarkar has denied the statement of Sohrab said that it was his personal view, not of council decision to leave the ruling party in the region.

‘We have no any decision to leave the ruling BPF party at this juncture’,Sarkar adding said that the council still good term with the party and no any decision to step against ruling party. He has accused of that Khan has been maintaining link with Congress to gain his personal benefit that is why he is stating baseless remarks over the RMC in the region.

He has claimed that the RMC has not cracked within organisation,but Khan he hilself making baseless statement to show his personal interest. He also told that the RMC has been scheduled to hold central executive meeting on March 13 at Magurmari in Kokrajhar district and committee would discuss thoroughly over the present situation within organisation. Delegates from ten district committees are participating in the meeting and would discuss on the arisen situation within organisation.The council is likely replace president Khan for his unwanted remarks over supporting political party in the upcoming election.

Security forces claimed to have seized a huge cache of arms when they raided a house in Chirang district on Friday two days after they busted a fundamentalist training camp.Acting on a tip off local residents and raided the house of Sayed Miyan where 8 AK-47 rifles were among others were seized. Policemen have been  interrogating Miyan two days after they busted a Jihadi training camp at a remote place in the BTAD district.
Police on Thursday got remand of Amitabh Sarma for three days after the PWD engineer in Chirang district was arrested in connection with a Rs 1.5 crore scam in the department. Before that he was produced before the Kajalgan CJM who remanded Sarma to police custody. The multi crore scam rocked the department in the link road construction of Palashbari Padmapur along the 31 National Highway under 2009-2010 fiscal. The scam came to light after the conscious citizens took resort to RTI. 
Hundreds of students of Central Institute of Technology (CIT), Kokrajhar carrying placards and shouting slogans staged the sit-in dharna and refuse to sit in the examination at the main entrance and did not allow the faculty members to enter the institute in protest against non supply of electricity in the hostels since last two days. BTC transport buses are preparing to expand its area of operation to West Bengal and Meghalaya.BTC executive member Jagadish Sarkar told reporters when he attended the 8th foundation of the Bodoland Transport Services at Dial Gaon in Kokrajhar on Wednesday.He claimed that the BTC transport service has earned Rs 80 crore revenue per year. “We have been able to earn approximately Rs 82,000 per day against which expenditure including the cost of diesel Rs 51,685 and average profit of Rs 30314 per day”.Among those who attended the programme includes BTC executive member Dhaneswar Goyary, BTC Secretary in-charge of Bodoland Transport Services Dinesh Boro, attended the programme.
The Chirang police arrested three  insurgents at a training camp near Daokhanagar in Chirang district on Wednesday. Identified as Minarul Islam of Daokhanagar, Jahirul Ali of Gedabazar village of Dhaligaon and Badiur Zamal Sheik of Poporagaon of Bongaigaon were arrested when they were undergoing a training along with nine others from Barpeta, Bongaigaon, Baksa, Nalbari and Kokrajhar districts.   According to BTAD IGP Dr LR Bishnoi, the training was undergoing at Daokhanagar in the district from September 7 organized by one Ashiq alias Burn Bhai of Howly in Barpeta district.
