Dr Bhupan Hazarika’s much hyped 'Asomiya Bhasa Jogot Sabhaloi Jabo'....but we don't even find its mention in when registering in any Online community....ask Netizens.
When one is asked about 'Languages known' in Orkut, etc., there is no mention of Asamese (Asomiya). As such, Assamese knowing people cannot mention the language out there. The number of speakers are shown to be 1 crore or 10 million in the Manorama Year Book. In that case, it should appear in those websites.
Its time we give the matter a thought...both the RA (Resident Asamese) as well as the NRA (non-Resident Asamese).
