Two day consultative workshop to understand perspectives on youth development in North East India has been concluded at Don Bosco Institute. This workshop has been organised by Quest Alliance and Indo-Global Social Service Society (IGSSS) for young people and organisation working for the youth development on 21st and 22nd January.
Youths from different states of North East had participated and discussed on various youth issues including problems being faced by youth. Amitav Nath from Quest Alliance discussed about their intervention and school programme. Augustine Ng from Quest Alliance explained the activities of Quest Alliance Employability program in different parts of the country.
Netaji Basumatary, Regional Manager of IGSSS while welcoming the participants also mentioned about the intervention of IGSSS related to youths in states like Manipur and Arunachal Pradesh. Ranjan K Baruah from North East Youth Foundation has mentioned about activities being carried out by the organisation as challenges being faced while working in North East. Quest Alliance has been working on joyful learning, life skills, foundations skills for youth employability, career development and education. This entire workshop was coordinated by Dharani Payeng, Youth Officer of IGSSS.
