Itanagar political drama shifts to New Delhi
The high level political drama in Itanagar seems to have shifted to New Delhi where Congress and BJP are heading for a huge show down.
JP Rajkhowa is camping in the capital to meet Union home minister Rajnath Singh on Sunday where the Arunachal Pradesh Governor is expected to apprise him of the entire political logjam. Rajkhowa is also believed to have been waiting to seek the help of legal luminaries to challenge the Gauhati High Court order which stayed his order preponing the assembly session. But the real solution is unlikely during his rendezvous with Rajnath Singh since the ruling party at the Centre is divided over the legal aspect of the logjam.
On the other hand, Chief Minister Nabam Tuki has arrived in the capital on Saturday. Tuki, who got a respite from the Gauhati High Court recently is scheduled to call on Ghulam Nabi Azad later on Sunday to discuss the political impasse. The legal experts in the Opposition party at the Centre are all set to come to his rescue.
