Assam defeated Arunachal Pradesh

Assam defeated Arunachal Pradesh 4-0 in the inaugural match in the 21st Senior Women’s National Football Championship,2015(Northeastern zonal) being kicked off here at KDSA ground in Kokrajhar today.

For Assam, Ranjumoni Brahma netted her first goal in the very beginning minute and Pranati Basumatary again netted another goal in 21 minutes which led the team 2-0 in the first half. During the second half,Sonia Marak lonely scored two goals more in 48 and 90 minutes respectively for Assam team and won the match 4-0.

Tripura will take on Mizoram on Saturday.

Sahitya Academy awardee and noted writer Brajendra Kumar Brahma inaugurated the national event I the presence of Ankur Dutta, secretary of Assam Football Association.

BTC executive members Doneswar Goyary,Rajib Brahma,among others were prominent attendees in the opening programme.
