Audio CD of Bishnu Rabha’s Songs Released in Golaghat

An audio cd of unreleased songs of Kalguru Bishnu Prasad Rabha named “Sunor Deshor Sunor Mati” was released on Rabha Diwas being organized by Golaghat District Students Union. The songs of the CD were written by Bishnu Rabha when he was taking shelter at renowned musician Basanta Bordoloi’s house. Later, Haren Das and Bipul Das recorded the songs but did not get much exposure at that time. Recently they in association with Jatin Bora, Vice-President of AASU brought the songs in the form an Audio CD. The songs were sung by some of the renowned playback singers of Assam like Samar Hazarika, Santa Uzir, Bobita Baruah etc. It is worth mentioning that sale proceeds of the CD will be utilized to give financial assistance to one poor farmer every year.
