Amit Shah holding poll rally in Dibrugah

Defying an escalating attack in Assam, BJP president Amit Shah is sounding the poll bugle at a crowded rally in Dibrugarh on Friday.

Shah, who is arriving in Dibrugarh at 12 noon will be naming Sarbananda Sonowal as Assam's chief ministerial candidate who will be allowed to confront with Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi.

BJP, in rank and file, in the state are trying their best to pull more than one lakh people in the rally. All booth committees are gearing up for the showdown.

We have deployed over 1000 big and small buses to ferry people to the rally.

Sarbanada Sonowal, who has been waiting in Guwahati, will receive Shah at the airport to escort the party president to Dibrugarh at 11 in the morning.

Many AASU workers have been deployed by former leaders Tapan Gogoi and Shankar Prasad Ray to make the rally a success.

At least ten central leaders apart from all MPs and MLAs are expected to attend the rally.
