Gogoi's date with Prez on Acharya issue

Caught in criticism PB Acharya is on leave as Assam Governor. But Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi refuses to relent.

Gogoi, who has been camping in New Delhi said that he would call on President Pranab Mukherjee on Friday to demand Acharya's dismissal alleging his conspiracy to communalize the politics 5 months ahead of the assembly polls.

Gogoi has been targetting Acharya for the last couple of months over a number of issues. He started mounting attack on Acharya when the acting governor called Hindustan for the Hindus much to the major embarrassment for the NDA government.

Then he left Assam on one month leave in the face of escalating attack for many sides and the BJP leaders, mostly, maintained equidistance.
