Judicial enquiry

A judicial enquiry would be conducted by first week of December on the cause and circumstances leading to the firing by police personnel on March 13, 2008 at Bengtal that 5 death and wounded several persons in Chicago district. 

SP Moitra, the district and session judge, Chiranghas informed that a judicial fact finding enquiry will be conducted on December 4 next at 3 PM in the premises of district judicial court, Chirang at Kajalgaon. It will be held on the cause and circumstances leading to the firing by police personnel on March 3, 2008 at Bengtal resulting the death of 5 persons and leaving many wounded.

In this connetion, he has requested the general public, heads of social organisations, eye witnesses, family members of the deceased and wounded persons to be appeared before the judicial enquiry officer with relevant background information and documents.
