Gold for Laimwn Narzary in athletics

Laimwn Narzary won gold medal in the High Jump that helped Assam athletics squad to earned five medals including three silver in the National Junior Athletics championship that concluded at Ranchi in Jharkhand on Wednesday.

Laimwn Narzary earned gold medal in the High Jump of U-18 girls category in the event recording 1.69 metre jump.

Runjun Pegu won silver medal in Javelline throw U-18 girls category which has recorded 44.01 metres. Horshad Matre and Virender Pal, individually won silver medal in 5000 metre and 10,000 metre run U-20 boys respectively.Raja Das has won bronze medal in 5,000 metre walk U-20 boys category in the event.

The nationl event was concluded today at Ranchi after five days long programme scheduled beginning from November 21. It was told Nimin Brahma,manager of the Assam squad.
