Congress MP from Koliabor Gaurav Gogoi demandds intervention by Union minister for water resources Uma Bharti’s interventio to release the outstanding central share of flood and erosion management and erosion schemes.
In a recent letter to the minister, Gogoi said that the state is implementing 41 flood management programmes with an estimated cost of Rs 1386 crore with 70:30 funding pattern. But, he said, the Centre has not released its share of Rs 1017 crore. But the state ended up releasing Rs 291 crore.
Same it is under the 11th Plan, the state had taken up 100 flood management programmes at an estimated cost of Rs 342 crore and funding pattern of 90:10. The Central share was Rs 300. But it released Rs 86 crore only.
