Starvation death is back to haunt the people of Bhuvan Valley Tea Garden. Four people including a baby were believed to have died of starvation in the tea garden during the last 15 days. Nobody has officially called it starvation death. But the top management officials of the shut down tea garden have been remaining incommunicado.

According to allegations, the management has stopped rations, electricity, water and medical facilities in the tea garden area a few months back. Manager RS Tiwary is not available and that he has vanished as soon as the workers started complaining lack of basic facilities. The authorities have stepped in and process is on to force the management to restore the basic facilities.
Notably, at least ten people died of starvation in this Barak Valley tea garden sending shock and anger across the nation in 2012.
