Abo Tani and Mopin mythology are set to get a new focus. Courtesy Mijum Lona and Utpal Kakoti. The duo are directing a film on the mystery in Arunachal Pradesh. The shooting is going on in Naharlagun apart from Pobdi and Kugi village. The river side shooting at Pobdi on 7th saw Abo Tani’s mother pushed into waterfall by Pako, the squirrel.

The shooting at Kugi village depict human migration. Jimi Bote convenes a meeting of Kabo Yabo and Jene Gone on congested human habitation and proposal on migration to better places to do away the settlement problem. Kirma Doji is performing the role of Pako, the squirrel and singer Domin Karbak is playing the role of Jimi Bote.

Drug peddler apprehended at Namsai

In a major breakthrough the Anti-Drug Campaign Team comprising of Namsai Police personal, All Tai Khampti Singpho Students Union (ATKSSU), All Namsai Area Youth Association (ANAYA) and Namsai District Students Uinion (ANDSU) has apprehended a drug peddler with 7.2 gm (approx) of contraband drugs at Manfaiseng Village under Namsai Circle on May 30 last.
