Heavy rains and landslide trigger huge havoc in Arunachal Pradesh throwing normal life out of gear. Flood waters are believed to have damaged many culverts, buildings. Landslide have added to the woes in the hills state. The worst-hit districts include Seijosa in East Kameng district which remains cut off from the rest of the state.
Landslide seems to have paralyzed normal life at Talom Riktak near Taliha while flood scene takes grim turn in Namsai district where the river Noa Dihing has been flowing abide the danger level. Several areas in Namsai District flooded as Noa-Dehing river overflows. The flood water inundates Mahadevpur-I, Mahadevpur-IV and Kakoni villages besides submerging paddy fields in Namsai district.
Same scene prevails in in Lohit district where all rivers are overflowing. It would take time for the authorities to restore normalcy in the affected areas.
According to reports, the Durra Nala micro hydel project owned electricity lines have collapsed at Changliang in Tezu following heavy landslip.
