Stage set for IAF recruitment

Indian Air Force is gearing up for airman recruitment rally in Itanagar from Saturday. The
special recruitment rally is all set to take place at Dera Natung Government College in the capital city.

Addressing a Press conference in Itanagar on Friday, Commanding Officer with the 11-th Airmen Selection Center from Guwahati ,Squadron Leader- VPV Baliga said that there were no dearth of opportunity for youths of Arunachal Pradesh to join Air force.

The squadron leader said, ‘indeed we are creating Air force assets in Arunachal Pradesh, many Advance landing ground are being constructed in various part of the state, so the schedule rally for the Group X (Technical)  & Group Y (Non technical ) would add more opportunity.’

The Arunachal Pradesh government on Tuesday released Rs 28.93 crore as state share against the various centrally sponsored schemes to boost the health and education sectors.  According to government sources, the amount includes Rs 2363.80 lakh under the Sarba Sikhya Abhiyan, Rs 343.21 lakh under RMSA, Rs. 124.00 lakh under NRHM, Rs 42.75 lakh under RUSA and Rs 19.10 lakh under AYUSH.The state cabinet decided to release state the amount in a time bound manner for smooth implementation of schemes. Both the departments would have to implement the schemes and to submit the utilization certificates.
The Arunachal Pradesh governor JP Rajkhowa urged the youth communities to carry forward the crusade against the growing menace in the north eastern state. In his address at the Solung Festival in Itanagar on Tuesday, Rajkhowa said only the youth fraternity has the strength enough the change the face of the beautiful state.Terming the land of rising sun as the country’s most beautiful state, he advised the people to document the colourful language, customs and traditions so that age-old heritage can be handed over from generation to generation.The Solung is the main socio-religious festival of ‘Adis’ community and is a manifestation of the ‘Adis’ festival cult.
Flood situation in the Namsai district of Arunachal Pradesh is in grim situation due to incessant rain for the last couple of weeks. Atleast thousands of people from various villages in the district get affected. Rivers like Noa Dihing, Jengthu and Tenga Pani are flowing above the danger level.
