Stunned by the failure to nab Gopinath Das, the authority has transferred two police officers two days before the date scheduled for filing case diary before the Gauhati High Court. They are Nagarbera Police Station OC Bhaben Chandra Nath and Mandia police outpost head Amiyo Goswami who have failed to ensure the arrest of the AIUDF MLA in connection with the rape case registered against Boko MLA.
They were transferred hours after police arrested three brothers-in-laws alleging that they kidnapped the victim and her parents on September 8 and forcing them to sign bond papers in an undisclosed location.
