Rally for separate Bodoland state
Lakhs of people from different organsiations thronged the grand mass gathering organised by All Bodo Students Union ( ABSU) to demand of separate Bodoland state on Sunday at Kajalgaon Rural Stadium ground in Chirang district.
Peoples from all walks of life participated and shouted slogans with banner, placards demanding early creation of Bodoland state carving existing Assam with slogans like divide Assam 50/50, No Bodoland No Rest, we want Bodoland, we want justice, Bodoland is our birth right.
The gathering expressed their demand of separate Bodoland state to meet good govern, peoples administration in the region.
Promod Boro, president of the ABSU said that the government should stern step create smaller states across the country.
Speakers from P Nirub Reddy from Telangana, Manish Tamang, Gorkhaland,James Hanse, leader from JACAS, UG Brahma, ex MP, Sansuma Khunggur Bwiswmuthiary, ex MP attended and addressed about pressing centre for the early creation of smaller states in the country.

Former president of Kokrajhar district unit of Bharatiya Janata Party, Binati Bala Basumatary resigned from her party membership on Monday. Basumatary submitted her resignation letter to the state party president citating personal reason . She was Kokrajhar district BJP president for 2011-2015, who had gained strength of the party through her strong leadership in the district. Basumatary's quit of the party ahead assembly election would draw a set back party strength in the Kokrajhar. Three cadres of the NDFB(S) were arrested by security forces in a joint operation belonging to police and army at Hakata village under Barama PS in Baksa district on Sunday. The cadres were identified as Jwangsar Boro @ KK, Mohit Mushahary and Pramod Ramchiary @ Khankari @Raja of Baksa district. They were actively involved in extortion, arms smuggling and other nefarious and anti national activities and Adivasi carnage in December(2014) and had run away and sheltered themselves in Chennai, till their return.
