Unbelievable: wanted 573 staff
Manpower crisis and infrascture bottleneck threaten to allow the education front of Arunachal Pradesh languish in dying agony. The north eastern state has no dearth of degree and polytechnic colleges. But the functionings have come to a grinding halt in the face of grim manpower crisis.
Despite repeated requests, the things have not changed much forcing the Arunachal Pradesh College Forum (APCF) to seek intervention of Chief Minister. The organization has urged the chief minister to ensure adequate teaching and non-teaching staff in all the newly created government colleges and polytechnics.
APCF President Techi Raman said that at least 573 posts of both teaching and non-teaching staff in 13 colleges have been lying vacant. Academic session has already started.
But students are have been facing tough time due to absence of faculty members and other office staff. Despite submission of memorandum to education minister, nothing took place.
