BJP taking grips in BTAD areas

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is all set to strengthen their party in  BTAD prior to the 2016 Assembly election next year,  which is likely to bring trouble to the ruling BPF.

Monaranjan Das, Patacharkhushi MLA held a meeting with the executive members of Kokrajhar district committee at BJP party office here on Monday and discussed on various aspects to strengthen the party.

The meeting allocated in-charges to 6 Mandals of BJP in the district for the smooth functioning of the party in the grass root level.

Kokrajhar town Mandal was given to Raj Kumar Brahma, Titaguri Mandal-Dipankar Nath, Dotma- Dilip Barman, Kachugaon- Sanjib Chapar, Gossaigaon- Bibhuti Borgoyary and Hatidhura Mandal to Prabin Paul.

The BJP sources also informed that Deen Dayal Upadhay Prakshishan Mahabiyan Training camp will be started shortly for the workers, which would help them to know about the ideology of BJP and to make a good relationship with the general public, where state committee members are likely to be present in the camp.

The BJP is also planning for a ‘Maha Sampark’ coordinating with the President / Principal/ Head Master of the educational institutes, Doctors, Engineers, Religious Committees, Club/ NGOs, Mahila Samity/ SHG and Mazdoor Unions. The meeting assigned responsibilities to the workers- Raj Kumar Brahma in-charge of Educational institutes, Dr Aravinda Sarkar in-charge of Doctors, Kabita Basumatary- Religious Committees, Ajay Narzary- Engineers, Debraj Paul- Club and NGOs, Mrs Mina Roy- Mahila Samity/SHG and Gopal Sanyal- Mazdoor Union.

Das, who is also the Kokrajhar district Pravari said that the state and central committees is providing all possible help to strengthen the party in BTAD region including Kokrajhar district.

Sibnath Brahma, Kokrajhar district president has declined the media reports about the possible alliance with the BPF saying that there is no such hints coming from the state committee. He said that the state committee would decide if there is any alliance with other political party.

Brahma also said that the BJP workers has done commendable job by organising medical camps in 31 villages affected by the recent flood.

He said that altogether 5,350 patients were given free treatment with medicines from party.

Security forces apprehend a NDFB(S) cadre from Basabil area under Gossaigaon PS on Sunday in Kokrajhar district. Based on information about the presence of the militant outfit cadres in the area, a joint team of police and army launched an operation where a listed cadre of Gossaigaon platoon of the NDFB(S) was arrested along with arms.
