Muslim body condemns murder

The All Assam Muslim Yuva Parishad (S) has strongly condemned the Burma Camp incident where four construction workers gangraped and killed a college girl on her way to Margherita last week.

AAMYP Vice President Moinur Haque Talukdar told Assam Times said that the need of the hour is to get a new set of laws to expedite the process to give justice to the victims. They further demand that the accused should be hanged to death at the earliest failing which they would intensify the agitation.

Assam Jatiyotabadi Yuva Chattra Parishad in Margherita raided a number of wine shops in the entire sub division on Sunday. They blamed it all on the excise department for allowing mushrooming of illegal wine shops in Margherita.
