Police commandos threaten student leaders by gun

Upset over the alleged high-handedness of some police commandos, the Kuki Students’ Organisation (KSO) has on Friday demanded the authority to suspend the personnel who were involved in threatening KSO leaders by gun at border town Moreh on Thusday night.

President of the KSO and one of its executive members were harassed and threatened by police commandos by gun without provocation,” organisation vice president lalboy Lhungdim told a press meet at the KSO office, Moreh.

He said the duo was returning home after visiting Moreh Hospital when the incident happened around 9:30 pm, Lalboy narrated.

The police commandos frisked and checked them on the way when the two identified themselves as KSO leaders, he further said.

At this, Lalboy claimed, the officer who was commanding the team on duty used harsh language against them and even pulled out his gun threatening them at the spot.

“All the police commandos involved in the incident should be suspended immediately by the authority,” he demanded.
