Ferry services come to halt

Kamrup and Jorhat district administrations have suspended ferry service on the river Brahmaputra from Saturday.
The services have been suspended for an indefinite period because of the rising water level that could wash away the ferries.
The service would be restored after the fall of water level of the mighty river.

The Brahmaputra has been flowing above the danger level following the incessant rains during the last couple of days where flood continues to wreak havoc in 19 districts.
