Union home minister Kiren Rijiju said on Friday allayed fears for Assam, Arunachal Pradesh and Manipur on the recent Centre-NSCN-IM peace initiatives.
Addressing a press conference in Shillong on Friday the Union minister said that the three north eastern states have nothing to be worried over the recent framework between the Centre and NSCN-IM.
Rijiju said the framework has been prepared taking into consideration the interest of the people of the three states.
“The Centre will never allow Assam, Manipur and Arunachal Pradesh to suffer in the name of the Naga peace effort,” said the Union minister who himself hails from Arunachal Pradesh.
Rijuju accused the three chief ministers of doing politics over the peace initiatives saying that the trio have taken U-turn only after they held talks wirth Congress president Sonia Gandhi.
