NDFB-S militants held in Chirang

Amid tight security in the run up to the Independence Day, security forces arrested two NDFB-S militants from Chirang district on Saturday.

Identified as Philip Basumatary and Bipin Brahma, the Myanmar trained insurgents were caught during a combing operation from Amguri area in the wee hours.

Police claimed to have seized a hand grenade and a pistol from their possession.
