Four days have passed since a Pawan Hans chopper carrying Tirap DC Avinash Joshi went missing on way to Longding from Khunsa. But the chopper which is believed to have crashed is still remaining untraceable.

 A Sukhoi Jet along with three other choppers have been trying to locate the ill fated chopper. But there seems to be no success.

The officials deployed in the search operation are concentrating on a hugely dense jungle bordering Assam where the local villagers claimed to have heard a sound of explosion in the sky before the chopper went missing.

Earlier the weather was not so comfortable. But now the sky is clear and that’s why, the authorities hope that the search operation will be successful.

The chopper carrying Joshi along with two others, went missing from Khunsa to Longding visa Dibrugarh where the last contact was received on Tuesday.
