Say no to terrorism in Kokrajhar
Students, thinkers and journalists sent a strong message against terrorism when ABSU in Kokrajhar on Thursday observed anti terrorism day to mark the 19th death anniversary of Jwhwlao Swmbla Basumatary.
The former ABSU president was killed by armed militants on this day in 1996 as he was dead opposed to the militant activities.
ABSU president Promod Boro hoisted the flag while Malicharan Basumatary, elder of Basumatary paid floral tribute to him in presence of many dignitaries.
President of Bodo Sahitya Sabha Dr Kameswar Brahma graced as chief guest on the occasion along with senior journalist Samudra Gupta Kashyap.
Former ABSU president Rwngwra Narzary was also attended the function chaired by Jayanta Basumatary.
