An orgy of untoward incidents marred the 12 hour statewide Assam bandh on Tuesday. Called by the All Assam Bengali Student Federation demanding inclusion of all religious Hindu Bengali people in NRC, the bandh started at 6 in the morning.
Bandh supporters in large numbers came out to the road in many places.
Some of them brunt tyres on the road to disrupt the movement of vehicles.
In some places, the supporters forced some shops and markets to remain close. The bandhmeets partial response in BTAD areas.
