Chief Secy to monitor NRC process

Caught in a grim controversy chief minister Tarun Gogoi has asked chief secretary VK Pipppersenia to monitor the NRC preparation process across the state.

The chief minister’s office issued the order after people in large number hit the streets alleging gross anomalies and helplessness to fill up the NRC forms.

A section of officials deployed in the process is alleged to have been demanding money to help them complete the task.
