Ambubachi fair ends

Kamakhya temple premises atop the Neelacjhal hill is set to be fallen silent on Friday as the four day long Ambubachi fair has come to an end.

Lakhs of pilgrims from the country and abroad are waiting on long queues from early in the morning to visit the ancient temple which resumed puja offerings on Friday.

Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi visited the temple at 7-30 in the morning and offered pujas along with Kamrup (Metro) DC amnd commissioner MGKV Bhanu.

Talking to reporters, Gogoi said that he was seeking divine help to restore peace and development in the state.
